Skyline of Dallas

The Peter O’Donnell Jr. School of Public Health will be located within the 13-county Dallas-Fort Worth area that has a census of 7.5 million and is the fastest-growing region in the country, with a projected population of 9.3 million by 2030.

Through a transformative $100 million gift from the O’Donnell Foundation and additional investments from Lyda Hill and Richard Hoffman, M.D., a new vision for the future of public health in the Dallas-Fort Worth region was born. The Peter O’Donnell Jr. School of Public Health welcomes it’s first class in 2023 and will be the fourth school to be created in the UT Southwestern Medical Center, one of the premier academic medical centers in the nation.
