Kicking off 2023 with an inspiring message on innovative cancer care. The Cary Council 2023 Kickoff event welcomed Dr. John Sweetenham to discuss how UT Southwestern is advancing patient-centered care for patients battling cancer.
The event was held at the new, state-of-the-art Cancer Care Outpatient Building on UT Southwestern’s campus and welcomed existing Cary Council members and guests. Attendees enjoyed an evening of in-depth discussion on innovative care, great food, and networking. We also welcomed Josie Sewell as the new Chair of The Cary Council as she hosted her first program in that role.

About Dr. Sweetenham
Dr. Sweetenham is a Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and the Associate Director for Clinical Affairs at UTSW’s Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center. He specializes in treating lymphomas and other hematologic malignancies.
