We are pleased to share with you our new issue of Planning Matters. This bi-annual communication from Southwestern Medical Foundation and UT Southwestern Medical Center serves to highlight the benefits of planned giving. Planned giving creates lasting impact because it connects donors with causes that are important to them. As a result, inspirational stories of legacy-building and love for community are common amongst those who have chosen to join the Heritage Society. This edition of Planning Matters features tools on how you can create tax savings while also supporting a cause near to your heart.

With a gift from her will, Dorothy Cullum’s legacy continues to support generations of UT Southwestern medical students through two endowed scholarships.

The Future of Public Health

With tremendous community support and a vision to embrace our region’s diversity, eliminate disparities, and achieve optimal health for all, the new Peter O’Donnell Jr. School of Public Health will welcome its first class in the fall of 2023. This is the fourth school to be created at UT Southwestern Medical Center and the first in the past half century. It joins the Medical School, School of Health Professions, and Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.
