Members of the UT Southwestern and Southwestern Medical Foundation Estate Planning Council met at the 2021 Estate Planning Council Luncheon. These members are leaders in the areas of estate and financial planning, particularly in law, accounting, insurance, and wealth management. They serve as ambassadors in the community through their awareness of clinical and research advances occurring at UT Southwestern and provide advice on efforts to educate the public about planned giving.
On October 28, 2021, the Estate Planning Council gathered at UT Southwestern to hear updates from Amanda Billings, Vice President for Development at UT Southwestern, and Kathleen M. Gibson, President and CEO of Southwestern Medical Foundation. Rachel Bailey, M.D. discussed the progress being made in novel gene therapies to treat neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s.
