Inspiring a Higher Standard

As we look back on the achievements of our 85th year with pride, we are reminded of the work ahead of us to meet the growing needs of North Texas. We are also inspired by the commitment of our donors and partners to advance medical progress.

2024: Celebrating Lasting Leadership & Enduring Impact

With heartfelt appreciation, we extend our deepest gratitude to our Board of Trustees, donors, partners, and friends for your investments of support and engagement.

In 2024, we joyfully commemorated Southwestern Medical Foundation’s 85th anniversary. Looking back on our journey from humble beginnings to now championing a world-class medical center, we are reminded that our progress is both underpinned and advanced by the generosity of North Texans.

Last year, we were privileged to welcome 12 distinguished leaders to our Board of Trustees: Liz Armstrong, Jennifer Chandler, Kathy Crow, Curt Farmer, Mandy Ginsberg, Jacob Jones, Kay Bailey Hutchison, Todd Lemkin, Kyle Miller, Josie Sewell, Charmaine Tang, and Dennis Wong. Their diverse expertise and insight will strengthen our purpose as we address evolving needs.

We were proud to be named a Best Place to Work by the Dallas Business Journal, a testament to our team’s exceptional dedication to advancing our mission. This recognition underscores the culture of purpose and excellence that drives our daily work.

Our community came together to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Children’s Health℠ and UT Southwestern Medical Center’s new Dallas pediatric campus, which was a transformative step in expanding access to advanced care and breakthrough treatments for families across our state and beyond.

In 2024, the sixth-annual An Evening with DocStars event hosted by The Cary Council sold out, highlighting this group’s continued momentum in fostering broad engagement and funding for promising early-stage research at UT Southwestern.

We also introduced the “Learning from Leaders” podcast, spotlighting visionary figures sharing compelling stories about leadership, resilience, and growth. Hosted by members of The Cary Council, the podcast unites voices from diverse fields to explore the challenges and opportunities shaping what lies ahead.

This year’s achievements reflect a shared commitment to discovery and advancement. With continued collaboration, we will build on this momentum to shape a future defined by possibility and progress.
