Inspiration. Passion. Vision. Philanthropy. Leadership. These were the topics of discussion at The Cary Council event on February 15, 2016.
The Board Room in the Old Main building on the campus of Old Parkland provided the perfect backdrop for a conversation about vision and leadership. Harlan Crow, Chairman and CEO of Crow Holdings, met with The Cary Council members and shared his vision behind renovating the Old Parkland campus. The campus was the original site of Parkland Hospital and Southwestern Medical College (now today’s UT Southwestern). Mr. Crow restored Old Parkland’s rich history of innovation and education and created a place that inspires reflection and sparks civic dialogue.
Members asked Harlan questions about Old Parkland, and then he turned the spotlight on them, asking them how they planned to play a role in building a great city. Members shared what they were passionate about, and how that led them to their involvement with the council.
