On May 14, 2026, Trustees of Southwestern Medical Foundation, UT Southwestern Medical Center faculty members, and distinguished guests gathered for the Annual Meeting of the Board of Trustees. Together, we elected Foundation Officers and Trustees, recognized and thanked outgoing Trustees moving to Honorary status, and provided an update on Foundation business. This year, we also elected Catherine Rose as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees.

We were honored to hear remarks from UT Southwestern President Daniel K. Podolsky, M.D., and Director of the Peter O’Donnell Jr. Brain Institute, William T. Dauer, M.D. Dr. Podolsky shared updates regarding the Medical Center and our shared mission of advancing medical progress, and Dr. Dauer reflected on the O’Donnell Brain Institute reaching a critical 10-year milestone. We also celebrated and recognized the 2026 Ho Din Award recipient, Hannah Chang, M.D., whose academic excellence and compassion reflect the highest standards of the award.
